Important Uniform Information
Marching Band uniform fittings will be held on four nights during pre-camp. Pictures for photo buttons (provided by the East Upbeat Club) will also be taken on these nights. Please bring your instrument for the photo. We need to have all students in a uniform by Thursday, August 12, as that is the date the large group picture will be taken in the stands out at the football field. We would like everyone to make every effort possible to attend on their assigned evening. Mark the appropriate date and time on your calendar now to avoid conflicts when the time comes.
Field Commanders and Color Guard will have their own fitting
schedule and will not have fittings on these evenings, but will need to come and put on their uniforms for photo button pictures. Please come dressed to try on the uniform - in soft gym shorts, bike shorts or boxers as shorts – NO denim or cargo shorts or long pants. Also you will need to be wearing a t-shirt with sleeves – NO tanks, sleeveless shirts or camisoles. (The t-shirt doesn’t have to be white this time, but during the regular season it will need to be white.) Drumline — if you wear a harness under your jacket you will need to have that on when you try on your jacket to get the proper fit.
August 4, Wednesday – Seniors will try on uniforms.
6:00 p.m. – Last names A – H
6:45 p.m. – Last names I – M
7:30 p.m. – Last names N – Z
August 5, Thursday – Juniors will try on uniforms.
6:00 p.m. – Last names A – G
6:45 p.m. – Last names H – N
7:30 p.m. – Last names O – Z
August 9 – 10, Monday and Tuesday – Sophomores and Freshmen will try on uniforms.
August 9, 6:00 p.m. – Last names A – C / 7:00 p.m. – Last names D – I.
August 10, 6:00 p.m. – Last names J – M / 7:00 p.m. – Last names N – Z.
Parents – if you will be driving your student and need to wait for them, please wait in the band room. We will be doing the fittings in the jazz room and it will be very crowded to say the least. We appreciate your patience with this process. We will try to move as quickly as possible, but we want to ensure the best fit for every student and it may take some time. Waiting in the band room will make it easier to make sure that all students get the instruction and attention they need with minimal distraction.
