Great Job, LJS Band Members – Alan Nordyke

Good morning!

I hope you had an enjoyable, relaxing Memorial Day weekend. As we begin our last week of school, I have a couple items to send your way.

First of all, congratulations to each band member for their outstanding concerts last Wednesday evening.  I am so proud of each of them for all of the progress they made this school year, and it was awesome hearing them display all of that musical learning in front of their parents, families and friends.

I am attaching a recap of all of the highlights that the students have achieved this school year. Their hard work did not go unnoticed, and I appreciate all of their efforts to make this school year the excellent school year that it was.

In addition, I wanted to let you know that one of our eighth grade parents, Dean Miuccio, produced a segment about last Wednesday's concert for his television show Cincinnality. On Thursday of last week, I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Miuccio and reflect on the last 22 years, the great school that LJS is and the amazing students that make this such a wonderful place to teach and learn. The piece will air this Sunday evening, June 3, at 11:30 P.M., on Fox 19.  Thank you, Dean, for the opportunity to talk with you last week.

It has been a pleasure working with your sons and daughters. They have helped make this the best school year I have ever had. Please keep me informed as to all of their future successes in the years to come, as I know the futures are bright for these very bright and talented young people.

Have a great last week of school and a safe and enjoyable summer.
