ALL Marching Band uniform fittings will be held on Saturday, July 29th.

We would like everyone to make every effort possible to attend sometime during their assigned time period. Please mark the date and time on your calendar now to avoid conflicts when the time comes. Pictures for the Marching Band photo buttons (provided by the East Upbeat Club) will also be taken on this day. Also this year pictures will be taken for the large composite photo (every 3 years). Please bring your instrument for the photos!

Field Commanders and Color Guard will have their own fitting schedule and will not have fittings on this day, but will still need to come and put on their uniforms for photo button & composite pictures.

Come dressed to try on the uniform – in your summer MB shorts with compression shorts, runner’s style shorts or other close-fitting (spandex) exercise shorts underneath – please NO denim or cargo shorts or long pants. Also you will need to wear a t-shirt with sleevesNO tanks, sleeveless shirts or camisoles.  Rookies – please wear socks as you will be trying on shoes to determine your correct shoe size and have hair elastics to put up long hair when trying on your hat.  Snares, Flubs & Tenors – please bring your harness to wear when you try on your jacket to get the proper fit.

Parents – if you will be driving your student and need to wait for them, please wait in the band room. We will be doing the fittings in the jazz room and it will be very crowded to say the least. We appreciate your patience with this process. We will try to move as quickly as possible, but we want to ensure the best fit for every student and it may take some time. Waiting in the band room will make it easier to make sure that all students get the instruction and attention they need with minimal distraction. You can see your student in their uniform when they come out to the band room to have their photo taken.

If you have any questions please contact Carolyn Landers, Uniform Chair. I will be at Band Camp most mornings and evenings or you can email or call me at or (cell) 919-2614. We WILL need lots of help with these fittings and throughout the marching (and concert) season. Please contact me if you can help or for more information. Uniform volunteering is the most fun – come join us! Thanks for your cooperation in getting our Marching Thunderhawks looking their best!
