The Marching Thunderhawks burst onto the scene in 1997 with a bold sound, unwavering intensity, and impeccable precision. Their Tradition of Excellence has made the Marching Thunderhawks a nationally recognized band program and raised the bar for artistic expression. With more than 40 Grand Champion titles and Superior ratings at OMEA State Marching Band Finals for 25 consecutive years, the band is looking forward to another great season in 2023!

The Marching Thunderhawks have taken flight To The Heavens, looked to the stars for answers in Horoscope, admired the majestic moon in La Lune, and will now eXplore and eXcite in their 2023 show, neXus.

A 'nexus' is any place where two or more objects converge: the critical point of connection that gives new meaning to each distinct part. Represented by the letter 'X,' the show will explore how the merging of separate, even contradictory, elements can create something unique and beautiful. Featuring music by contemporary artists and a prismatic visual palette, we hope to provide a unique eXperience for our audience.

The following students will be featured in ‘neXus’:

Ryan Coons – flugelhorn
Max Page - saxophone
Anna Muehleisen – flute
